Our annual meeting is now completed and the old board has retired! Thanks everyone for a wonderful year, we had a blast creating and attending events with you.

This is an invitation to ISHA Turku's annual meeting on 14.3.2023, 6-9pm, at Proffan Kellari.

The meeting is very important for you to attend if you are interested in joining the board of ISHA Turku. ISHA representatives from our member organizations (Kritiikki, Vare, Kutu, F-piste, P-Klubi and Kleio) are also encouraged to attend. Everyone is welcome to observe the meeting.

We will go over the financials, materials and minutes of our term. These materials are available for everyone to read on our website as of now. Feel free to familiarize yourself with these materials and come ask any questions in the meeting.

We hope to see the new board and representatives there! Thank you for this term.

The board is retiring! What does this mean? A new

The board is retiring! What does this mean?

A new group of people will take over the board's duties, including communication and co-operation with other ISHA sections, event planning, and much more.

We are known to be quite a chill and casual organization with fewer big events than most, so if you are new to student organizations, we might be a good way to start exploring! We are also a part of a larger international organization with chances for upward mobility within that organization, so we might be a good opportunity to gain international experience.

If you are a member of Kritiikki Ry, Vare Ry, P-Klubi, Kutu Ry, Kleio rf, or F-piste, you automatically qualify to be a member of the board.

On Tuesday the 28th of February from 6pm onwards at Proffan Kellari (upstairs area) we are hosting an info event for prospective future board members. We'll share information about our work and some behind the scenes secrets about student organizations, and also serve some delicious snacks. Attending this event is non-binding and you can come see us even if you are unsure about joining the board.

On Tuesday the 14th of March, from 6pm onwards also in Proffan Kellari, is our annual meeting. This is the last meeting of the current board, as well as the selection of the next one. If you want to join the board, this is the meeting to come to!

We hope to see you in our remaining events, as well as the events the next board will host!

Once again everyone is welcome to attend the event, exchange students and locals alike, regardless of your major! 🤗

Meet us on Friday 24th of February at bar Proffan Kellari (upstairs room!) and compete with your team for a grand prize.

You can arrive starting at 5:30 pm and gather your team for the quiz to start at 6pm!

Drinks and snacks can be purchased at the venue.

Join us once again for a pub quiz!

ISHA Turku hosts events for local and international students and enthusiasts of history to meet and connect. If that describes you, please feel free to join us!

We will meet at the downstairs area of bar Portti (Hämeenkatu 7), on Wednesday 1st of February from 6pm to 9pm.

There will be a pub quiz with some prizes, as well as some board games and casual hanging out. You can also buy drinks and snacks from the venue.

EGEA Turku and ISHA Turku invite you to our joint

EGEA Turku and ISHA Turku invite you to our joint pre-Christmas party! Pre-Christmas parties are traditional ways for friends, co-workers and other groups to celebrate Christmas before the holidays. Despite the theme, the parties often have very little to do with actual Christmas, and are more about having fun together before the winter break.

The event is free to attend for all, and you can arrive and leave whenever is convenient for you. It will take place on Thursday, 8th of December, at 18:00-21:00. The venue is Aitiopaikka Club Room, Inspehtorinkatu 3.

ISHA and EGEA will provide soft drinks, a gingerbread decoration station, as well as entertainment such as board games, beer pong, and a quiz with a special prize for the winner. You can also bring your own drinks and snacks if you'd like.

ISHA Helsinki and ISHA Turku welcome you to join u

ISHA Helsinki and ISHA Turku welcome you to join us for our joint day trip to Hämeenlinna on the 19th of November!

Hämeenlinna is among the oldest cities in Finland - the oldest inland city in fact! - and boasts a medieval castle with an impressive history that we will explore together. We'll also have lunch and, time permitting, free time to explore the city, with fellow history enthusiasts of course.

From Turku, we meet at 9:15 in the morning and leave together for Hämeenlinna, where we meet up with ISHA Helsinki. After exploring the city together we'll grab a bus back to Turku. The cost of the trip is 10€ which will go towards travel costs. The sign up starts on 10.10 12:00. The sign up binding, though you can give your place to a friend if you'd like.

Welcome to ISHAs famous English-speaking and begin

Welcome to ISHAs famous English-speaking and beginner friendly Halloween sitz!

ISHAs Halloween sitz costume party is back! Sign up for the event starts on 29.9, 12:00. The cost is 18€ with alcoholic beverages, and 16€ for without.

The sitz will take place in Osakuntasali, on the 27th of October. The doors will open 17:45 and party starts at 18:00 - don't be late! Dress code is a Halloween costume, best costumes will be rewarded.

If you are new to sitz parties, don't worry. They are beginner friendly and in English. You'll receive instructions and local students will be happy to teach you as the night goes on!

Tervetuloa ISHAn Uusien Iltaan! Welcome to ISHA's Freshmen Mixer! (English below!)

Uusien ilta on suunnattu Kritiikin, Kutun, F-pisteen, Vareen, P-Klubin ja Kleion fukseille, sekä uusille vaihto-opiskelijoille. Myös akateemisesti vanhemmat opiskelijat ovat tervetulleita!

Tutustumme toisiimme rennosti jutustellen, ISHAn toimintaa esitellen, pelejä pelaten ja ISHAn perinteisen pubivisan parissa.

Panimoravintola Koulusta voi tilata ruokaa ja juomaa tarpeen mukaan, itse tuodut eivät valitettavasti ole sallittuja.

ISHA's Freshmen Mixer is geared to local students of history, gender studies, archeology, political science and cultural studies, as well as any exchange student who wants to meet some locals!

It's a casual event to meet new students and enthusiasts of humanities, with some board games and ISHA's traditional history pub quiz available for extra entertainment.

Panimoravintola Koulu serves food and drinks, and does not allow you to bring your own snacks or drinks to the event.

Hello everyone!

My name is Heidi Hytti and I’m the newest secretary of ISHA Turku. I’m also a 1st year student of political science representing P-klubi on the board.

My main interest in my studies is international relations. I’m also very interested in learning languages. The most recent language I started learning is Spanish. For many years my hobby has been dancing and I hope to get back to it again here in Turku.

Hello everyone! My name is Anu Kellokangas and I'm one of the event coordinators and the environmental coordinator of ISHA Turku 2022🥳🌱

I am studying European and World history for the fifth year. I am also doing "Integrated Minor in Asian Studies" program and studying Chinese language. I also speak Japanese although I am quite rusted.

My biggest hobby is gaming. For the last four months I've been grinding Dead by Daylight. My all time favorite game is Skyrim because it truely started my gaming hobby as I bought my own pc to be able to play it. Other favorites include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Hi! I'm ISHA's accountant and website wizard Annii

Hi! I'm ISHA's accountant and website wizard Anniina, back for a second year of working numbers in the shadows. I do the same for Vare ry (why people trust me with money I don't know).

I'm a fifth year student of archaeology and my main interests currently lie in the Finnish iron age. I'm also studying museology in Pori. When I'm not busy with studies I'm gaming or harassing my cat. NGL I also do these things when I am, or more like should be, busy with studies.
