Super Bowl LV -virtuaalikisastudio
Varhain maanantaiaamuna 8.2. pelataan NFL-kauden huipennus, Super Bowl LV. Ottelussa kohtaavat historiallisesti kotikentällään pelaava Tampa Bay Buccaneers ja puolustava mestari Kansas City Chiefs. Ottelulähetys alkaa kello yksi Suomen aikaa, peli potkaistaan käyntiin puoli kahdelta.
UTU Beaver Hunters on perinteisesti järjestänyt otteluyönä kisakatsomon Parkin kerhotiloissa, mutta koronarajoituksista johtuen tämä ei tällä kertaa ole mahdollista. Perinteestä ei kuitenkaan haluttu luopua, joten kisakatsomo järjestetään tällä kertaa virtuaalisesti etätapahtumana seuran Discord-palvelimella.
Ottelu televisioidaan Suomessa V sport urheilu -kanavalla, joka on Super Bowl -viikonloppuna perinteiseen tapaan vapaasti katsottavissa, joten osallistujat voivat seurata peliä turvallisesti omalta kotisohvaltaan käsin ja hypätä mukaan keskusteluun Discordissa. Palvelimella on valmiina keskustelukanava Super Bowlin odotushypeä varten, joten sinne voi jo ennakkoon hypätä spekuloimaan ottelun asetelmia, vertailemaan siipireseptejä tai muuten vain virittäytymään tunnelmaan.
Ennen ottelun alkua pidämme mahdollisesti lajia tuntemattomille pienen laji-infon, jotta kaikki saisivat pelistä enemmän irti. Kisakatsomossa on mukana myös Beaver Huntersin pelaajia, valmentajia ja alumneja, joten mahdollisiin kysymyksiinkin pitäisi löytyä asiantuntevia vastauksia.
Virallinen osuus aloitellaan kello 23.30 sunnuntai-illan puolella, mutta palvelin on avoinna 24/7. Tervetuloa mukaan!
Super Bowl LV Virtual Watch Party
NFL season comes to a close early Monday morning on 8th February as Super Bowl LV is played in Tampa Bay. Historical home team Tampa Bay Buccaneers challenge the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs. Kickoff is at 1:30 am Finnish time.
Your UTU Beaver Hunters have hosted the annual Super Bowl party at the Parkki club house, but due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place, that is not possible this year. We still wish to keep the tradition going, and this time the event is done remotely via our Discord server.
Game is broadcast in Finland on V sport urheilu, which is free to view during the Super Bowl weekend, so everyone can enjoy the game safely from the comfort of their own home and join the discussion on Discord. The server hosts a channel for the game’s pre hype, so join in right away to share your thoughts on the upcoming game, compare wing recipes or just to get in the mood.
Before the game we’ll run a little introduction to American football so you’ll get more out of the game even if you’ve never seen football before. Joining the discussion will be Beaver Hunters players, staff and alumni, so there should be plenty of expertise to answer any and all questions you may have.
